Essendon utility Jay Nash was born on this day in 1985.
Nash was recruited to the Bombers from SANFL club Central District in 2003 and made his AFL debut against Collingwood in 2005, tagging Magpies’ superstar Nathan Buckley for most of the match.
He has played 20 games in three seasons for the Bombers including 10 consecutive matches in 2007.
In 2007 Nash will wear guernsey No. 17 after wearing No. 38 previously.
