An injured Brad Ottens will give Port Adelaide the edge in the ruck division of Thursday night’s clash against Geelong at AAMI Stadium.

Ottens will miss the Grand Final rematch because of an ankle injury paving the way for 20-year-old Trent West to make his AFL debut.

West will partner forgotten Cats’ big man Mark Blake against Brendon Lade and Dean Brogan after missing out on a Grand Final berth in 2007 to new St Kilda ruckman Steven King.

Ottens was one of the Cats’ best in last year’s final series and finished eighth in the best fairest.

Tom Hawkins and Ryan Gamble are also expected to come into the side for Thursday’s game.
