Fremantle will blood two first-game players against Hawthorn on Saturday night at Subiaco Oval.
Perth’s Chris Mayne and East Fremantle’s Rhys Palmer, who were both drafted by the Dockers last November, have been named in the starting 22 for the club’s first home game of the year, while talented youngster Garrick Ibbotson has also been included in a fresher looking side than that which lost to Collingwood at the MCG last Saturday.
Dean Solomon (suspended), Heath Black (concussion) and Shaun McManus (injured) come out of the side.
At Geelong, ex-East Fremantle big man Harry Taylor has been named to make his league debut against Essendon on Sunday at the expense of the injured Andrew Mackie, while Melbourne has swung the axe on Adem Yze, Brent Moloney and Ricky Petterd after their 104-point loss to the Hawks last Sunday.
