Sean Rusling’s AFL career has hit yet another snag with the exciting Collingwood forward set to undergo a third shoulder reconstruction.

The 21-year-old injured his left shoulder against Fremantle at the MCG on Saturday and looks certain to miss the bulk of the 2008 season.

Rusling was drafted by the Magpies from SANFL club West Adelaide in 2004, but has played just 17 games in his career to date.

He booted seven goals in two matches against Sydney late last year and was expected to be a key part of the ‘Pies push for September glory this year.

The club is yet to decide the exact date of Rusling’s surgery.
