Case for Tigers and Falcons

In potentially the closest contest of the round, Roger Kerr’s Claremont side will take on a lively West Perth outfit at Claremont Oval this Saturday.
Kerr replaced Ashley Prescott at the end of last year when the former Richmond and Fremantle player landed a coaching role at Essendon and Prescott wasn’t the only key man to leave the Tigers.
Daniel Bandy also elected to move on, as did West Coast premiership midfielder Rowan Jones, but the club did secure the services of ex-Brisbane centreman Marcus Allan.
The Tigers won all three of their practice matches, but will have a tough task of rebuilding on the back of the loss of several key players headed by Bandy.
The Falcons under new skipper Jason Salecic have also nabbed some new recruits in the off-season with Mark Doolan and Brent LeCras starring in the warm up games.
After just missing the finals in 2007, the Falcons will be keen to start 2008 with a solid away win.
Only six points separated the two teams in two matches last year with the clubs registering one win apiece away from their home grounds.
