North Adelaide midfielder James Allan has won the 2007 Magarey Medal.
The Werribee recruit polled 19 votes to finish ahead of five players on 14, including Sturt trio Luke Crane, Ben Nelson and Brant Chambers, along with ineligible Rooster teammate Dean Howard and Port Adelaide Power’s Brad Symes, from Central District.
Allan became North Adelaide’s 15th Magarey Medallist and will now chase a second medal on Sunday in the SANFL Grand Final against the Bulldogs.
The pint-sized rover played his debut season for the Roosters after completing pre-season with the Western Bulldogs and is hoping for another chance in the AFL.
