NTFL club Wanderers has boosted its playing list with the addition of Wodonga full forward Adam Prior and Mt Gambier ruckman Zach McDonald.
Prior, a former Sydney rookie, has won the goalkicking award in the strong Ovens and Murray League.
And McDonald is an award winning ruckman from Mt Gambier in South Australia.
Eagles president Steve Olsson expects McDonald to play against the Tiwi Bombers this week.
“He’ll be in town this week and hopefully we can get him right for the Tiwis,” Olsson said.
“We did pretty well with half a team last week, so hopefully we can start building a better side from here.”
Big-marking forward Shane Thompson played his 100th game for the Eagles last week.
The milestone came as a relief for the popular Eagle, who has struggled with knee and hand injuries in recent years.
Utility Mark White will join him on that number when he lines up against the Tiwis on Friday night.
North Adelaide midfielder Shannon Motlop is only two weeks away from resuming and he has promised Wanderers officials a handful of top-line recruits.
“We’ll be a competitive side with the calibre of recruits we’ve got coming to Darwin,” Olsson said.
“When Prior and McDonald get settled and Shannon is right to go you’ll see the real Wanderers side.”
