In Saturdays triple header at TIO Stadium the Tiwi Bombers kick off proceedings against the winless Wanderers. It could be a long hot afternoon for the Eagles. Game starts at 2:30pm

The second match, scheduled for 5:00pm, the undefeated Saint Marys take on Waratah, currently in second spot on the ladder. This promises to be a classic encounter with ABC TV there to catch the action. Waratah had an easy win last week over the Buff’s and Saints had to grind out a tough win against Palmerston. The prize for the winner is top spot on the ladder.

The Saturday night match at 7:30pm will see Darwin take on Palmerston. Darwin were worked over by Waratah on Sunday afternoon & the Saints ran all over the Magpies in the second half of their game last week. Both sides need a win to stay within striking distance of the top 5, even though it’s still early days a loss here will make it an uphill battle for the losers. Palmerston should be able to get the points.

Sundays match is another home game for the Tigers at Nightcliff Oval. Favourite son, Michael McLean returns but this time he’s in charge of a powerful Southern Districts outfit who already look like flag favourites. Nightcliff were narrowly defeated by the Bombers last week and with the home crowd behind them they have some chance of upsetting the Crocs.
