Sellar goes under the radar

By Stephen O'LoughlinOnce touted as a possible number one draft pick alongside fellow teammate Bryce Gibbs, powerful Glenelg forward James Sellar has slipped under the radar of AFL talent scouts.
Sickness mid-year severely affected the 17 year-olds lead-up to the under-18 championships and admits he played his worst games in years at that competition. Struck down by food poisoning and not being able eat, Sellar lost 8kg from his bulky 195cm, 92kg frame in the 10 days before the carnival. Rather than pull out, he battled on to his detriment, as further medical treatment was required upon his return.
Not one to make excuses, Sellar, blessed with a great vertical leap and strong hands, believes the illness has allowed him to focus more on his footy and not be concerned about the draft.
