Milestone for Smoker

On-baller Craig Smoker will play game 100 for West Perth against Peel Thunder at neutral venue Corrigin this week.

The match was scheduled for Corrigin as part of the Country Sports Enrichment Scheme, which is a coup for the club, which has recruited many talented country players, including Troy Longmuir, Caleb Shadbolt and Mark Seaby.

The venue holds no fears for Smoker, who hails from the nearby town of Kondinin.

Smoker was drafted to the West Coast Eagles in 1995, and was later recruited by Melbourne, playing 17 games mainly as a small forward.
