The West Coast Eagles have added six players to their squad that lost to Fremantle last week in a bid to defeat Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.

Big man Quinten Lynch has been suspended by the club during the week while Rowan Jones is out with a groin injury and the injury prone Chad Morrison is out with a knee problem.

The injuries make way for rookie-listed player Brett Jones, whose brother Chad made his AFL debut last week.

Jones is a chance to make his debut after being named on a seven man interchange bench.

18 year-old Sam Butler is also a chance to make his AFL debut after also being named in the squad.

Butler was the 20th overall pick in the 2003 draft and was recruited from Central Districts.

Brent Staker will return to the side after being a late withdrawal last week and has been named at full-forward.

Andrew McDougall, Jeremy Humm and Adam Selwood have also been named in the squad.

Sunday will see Phil Read face his former side for the first time after he was delisted at the end of last season.

Read would be pleased with his move to the Demons at this stage of the season with Melbourne sitting pretty in second place and coming off a record breaking victory over Carlton.

Melbourne have added three players to their squad inlcuding possible debutant Brock McLean, Peter Vardy and Luke Williams.
