Young West Coast on-baller Chris Masten has been rewarded for his fine form this season, earning himself the AFL Rising Star nomination for Round 16.
After managing just nine games in his debut season last year, the 20-year-old midfielder has played 15 out of 16 for the Eagles this year.
Averaging just over 20 possessions a game, Masten was a stand-out performer in the loss to Port Adelaide, collecting a career-high 38 disposals.
Another product of East Fremantle, Masten captained Western Australia to the 2007 AFL Under-18 Championships title, earning All-Australian honours for his performances.
