Key West Coast midfielder Daniel Kerr is hopeful of returning to AFL action before the end of the season.
Kerr suffered a severe hamstring injury in Round 4 against Essendon and has experienced a horror run of injuries in the past three years.
“The recovery has been very slow,” Kerr said on westcoasteagles.com.au, as reported on the AFL website.
“I think the time frame we put on the recovery early in the rehab was probably a little unrealistic and now I’m recovering at a rate I think is sufficient to be up for selection for round 22.
“It’s baby steps ... I’m really looking forward to running at full pace again with my hammy [which] should be in the next month.”
