AFTER struggling to keep his place in the line-up this season, West Coast forward Ash Hansen may be given another chance this Sunday, as the Eagles look to win their third straight match when they take on a struggling St.Kilda at Subiaco Oval.

West Coast coach John Worsfold said the 27-year-old was “seriously under consideration for selection” following a stellar month for WAFL side Swan Districts.

Hansen has kicked 26.11 in his last four games, including three consecutive seven goal hauls, with one of those coming against a genuine premiership contender in Claremont.

Worsfold said his premiership centre half-forward had more than proven his point in the WAFL, showing he could not only kick big bags of goals deep in attack, but also collect plenty of touches playing up the ground.

“We’re really impressed with the way he’s going about it with his form, (and) the character of the man always says he’s just going to get out there and do his best,” he said.

“If he wasn’t kicking those bags of goals then he wouldn’t be pushing his name up as hard. Whether he gets into the side this week, we’ll have to wait and see.”

The potential recall could see the Eagles playing Josh Kennedy, Quinten Lynch, Ben McKinley and Hansen in the same forward line.

Can Hansen translate his current form for West Coast?
