Fly the flag: Burns

West Coast assistant coach Scott Burns says he has absolutely no problem with his players flying the flag for their club, following star Eagle Daniel Kerr’s suspension for doing so.
Kerr received a one-match suspension for striking Carlton midfielder Marc Murphy after he allegedly felled an Eagles player.
However, both Burns and fellow assistant coach Peter Sumich believe Kerr’s one-match ban for felling Murphy was worth it.
The former Collingwood star said he was rapt with what he did against Carlton, and was surprised with the ensuing suspension afterwards.
Burns maintained the importance of flying the flag when the opposition drops another team-mate.
