West Coast does not lack a mental edge against the Dockers, according to assistant coach Daniel Metropolis, despite its last derby triumph coming back in round 3, 2007.
The Eagles have lost the past four derbies, by an average of just 21-points, but have only defeated their cross-town rivals just once in their last seven encounters.
The Eagles most recent derby disaster came in round 6 when they kicked 3.7 and conceded 9.7 after half time and lost by 13 points.
Metropolis said there was a history of winning streaks in western derbies and there was nothing stopping his side from breaking Fremantle’s streak on Saturday.
