WAFL Variety Challenge

ROUND two of the WAFL’s pre-season Variety Challenge has seen East Fremantle down West Perth by 20-points at East Fremantle Oval on Saturday.
In scorching conditions, the home side stitched up the match in the first term, slotting six unanswered goals to run out 12.12 (84) to 10.4 (64) victors.
Ryley Dunn kicked four goals for the Sharks, while McGuire, Foster and Murray all chimed in with two goals each.
Falcons forward Brent LeCras was the lone gun, with four goals.
In other results, Perth proved too strong for reigning premier South Fremantle, winning by 46-points at EFTel Oval.
Jack Clarke medallist Aaron Elari starred in the Demons 14.7 (91) to 7.3 (45) win, with four goals, while captain Steven Armstrong kicked three.
Finally Claremont and Subiaco both recorded big wins in their matches over the weekend.
The Tigers blitzed Swan Districts by 101-points at Claremont Oval – 19.13 (127) to 3.8 (26).
The Swans failed to score a goal after half-time, while their skipper Josh Roberts was reported for forceful contact in the match.
Subiaco also did it easy at Bendigo Bank Stadium, thumping Peel by 71-points. The Lions was the lop-sided encounter 15.15 (105) to 5.4 (34).
