WAFL competition continues to surprise

The 2009 WAFL season continues to surprise even in round 13 of the competition. Over the weekend the bottom two teams, Claremont and East Perth had upset victories while the Perth Demons, who showed a lot of promise in last weeks win over East Perth, had trouble kicking straight in their disappointing effort against Swan Districts.
Claremont hosted East Fremantle and won by 14 points 11.7 (83) to 10.9 (69) at Claremont Oval and East Perth defeated Peel Thunder during a match played in Margaret River, by 36 points 16.12 (108) to 10.12 (72).
Meanwhile, Swan Districts hosted Perth at Steel Blue Oval and controlled the game to win by 46 points, although Perth kept themselves out of the match by kicking 8 goals and 21 behinds for the match. Swan Districts now move to second on the ladder after the convincing 18.7 (115) to 8.21 (69) victory.
To finish the round, Subiaco regained top spot when they defeated South Fremantle by 28 points at Fremantle Oval. Subiaco led from the beginning to finish15.12 (102) over South Fremantle 10.14 (74).
