Sydney’s Dan Hannebery has claimed the Round 2 nomination for the AFL’s Rising Star Award.
The 19-year-old played a key role in his team’s crushing win over Adelaide on Sunday, gathering 23 disposals to be among the best players on the ground.
Hannebery’s nomination follows that of Carlton’s Chris Yarran in Round 1.
Footnote: To be eligible for the Rising Star, players must be 21 years of age or under by January 1, 2010 and have played 10 senior games of less before the start of the season. Players suspended are ineligible.
