By Ryan Miller Sydney Premiership Backman Tadhg Kennelly Has Announced his AFL retirement after 158 games for the Red and Whites Kennelly announced Yesterday that he would leave Australian shores to pursue a dream of playing in an All Ireland Final in Gaelic football.
He leaves the Club With one year left on his 3 year Contrat that he signed in August 2006.
Kennelly said that he would be returning to Ireland to pursue his Dream of playing in an all Ireland Final for his native County Kerry which is in the South West of Ireland, the same county his late Father Tim played for in 5 All Ireland titles, including captaining the team to the 1979 title.
Kennelly Will Be remebered as the First Irishman to Win an AFL Premiership and for that famous Irish Jig he did as he accepted his 2005 premiership medalion.
