Big bad Barry Hall will make his 2009 debut for the Swans in the NAB Challenge game against the Demons at Visky Park.
Joining Hall will be Jared Crouch, Nick Malcheski and Luke Ablett who will all give the side some needed experience after their 65-point thrashing by Port Adelaide in the NAB Cup on Sunday.
Coaching co-ordinator John Longmire said it was the Swans defense that let them down on the weekend. He said that it was disappointing to allow Port Adelaide to boot 20 goals against them and they will need to work hard to get back to their usually strong defensive form.
The Demons will be full of confidence after almost beating the defending champions - Hawthorn on Saturday, only to go down in the last minute of the match.
Longmire said that he was impressed with some of the Demon youngsters hunger for the ball but insisted that the Swans won’t be worried about the opposition and will be focusing on their own progress over the remainder of the pre-season.
