AFL Football Operations Manager Adrian Anderson today said the AFL and ANZ Stadium had completed a full review of the ground’s fence and signage set-up, which was undertaken following the injury to Sydney’s Barry Hall during the Round Four match against West Coast, played on April 12.

Mr Anderson said AFL Ground Operations Manager Jill Lindsay had worked with the stadium and a risk assessor and it had been decided that the following would now occur;
- the club’s fence signage would now be padded and required to be placed at the same height as the temporary fence line, and not above it;
- the railing lines on the stadium’s retractable seats on each wing area will now be padded.

These changes will be in place before the next match at the ground on May 18 between Sydney and Essendon.
