After three of its players were taken in last month’s NAB AFL Draft, WAFL club Swan Districts has provided the AFL with another trio of potential young stars through Tuesday’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

2007 best and fairest Luke Miles (St Kilda) and Under 18s stars Luke Pratt (Fremantle) and David Ellard (Carlton) each made it on to AFL lists in the final draft of the off-season joining Alex Rance (Richmond), Tony Notte (West Coast) and Dennis Armfield (Carlton) in reaching the top level.

Other WAFL-based players to land at AFL clubs via the rookie draft were Claremont’s Lewis Stevenson who was picked up by West Coast, Perth’s Cruize Garlett who was recruited by the Kangaroos and South Fremantle defender Callum Wilson who was also nabbed by the Eagles.
