Carr to play for Swans

Matthew Carr is set to come out of retirement to play the 2009 season with Swan Districts. Already employed at the club as a development officer, the former Dockers, Saints and East Fremantle player will be a welcome addition to a club that has lost a number of players to the AFL draft. East Fremantle will be eligible for a $10,000 transfer fee and the WAFL will need to ok the playing contract.
A number of high profile ex-AFL players have returned to the local competition this year, including Heath Black to Peel, and Jeff Farmer, Peter Bell and James Clement to South Fremantle.
