WAFL Selection Wrap - Good and bad news for Lions and Bulldogs

It was a mixed bag at the selection table for both Subiaco and South Fremantle leading up to their top of the table clash at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

The Lions received mostly good news with the return of experienced trio Ben Keevers, Daniel Chick and Marc Webb, although they will be without another veteran in Jarrod Schofield.

Mark Nicoski is listed as an out for Subiaco at this stage, however he has been left out of West Coast’s team for this weekend and is likely to line up for the Lions again.

In contrast, the news was mostly bad for South Fremantle as they were forced to leave out key players, Daniel Gilmore, Andrew Siegert and Scott Delmenico due to injury while Josh Head and Ryan Murphy have both been named as emergencies for Fremantle, so their availability is unknown tonight.

The Bulldogs will welcome back Jamie Graham, after he was omitted by the Eagles, and gutsy midfielder, Gerard Wilkie.

2005 Sandover Medallist, Jaxon Crabb is a vital inclusion for Claremont as they travel to Arena Joondalup for a cruical battle with West Perth.

However, the Tigers will be without in-form defender Beau Wilkes, who will make his debut for West Coast, and recruit, Marcus Allan.

The Falcons regain Dustin Burns, Dan Hunt and Ray Bartholomew while former Perth midfielder, Richard Kelly had been dropped again.

Key forward, Ashley Hansen will make another appearance for Swan Districts when they host Peel Thunder on Saturday.

For the Thunder, Daniel Haines has served his suspension and will be back to play his 100th league match.

Perth has been forced to make a number of changes to their line-up to take on the Sharks at East Fremantle Oval.

Chris Mayne has been selected by Fremantle, while injury will prevent Cameron Heise, Clay McLernon and Scott Selwood from taking the field.

The Demons will be pleased to regain key position player, Josh Krueger as one of seven inclusions into their squad of 25.

East Fremantle has added six youngsters to their side but will be without Tim Houlihan, who has been named by the Eagles, and possibly Matt Spangher, who is listed as an emergency.
