Subiaco's Smith kicks 500th goal

Brad Smith kicked his 500th WAFL goal on Saturday afternoon when his Subiaco Lions stormed their way back in to form with a 50 point victory over East Fremantle at Medibank Stadium.
With a bye last week and only two goals in Subiaco’s shock lost to East Perth the week before that, Smith had been left waiting to reach the 500-goal milestone. Going in to the match on 499 goals, Smith had a few early misses and it took until the five minute mark of the third quarter to kick goal 500. Once he did the Lions were firing.
With Subiaco down by 15 points at half time, the Lions looked ferocious in the last half. They kicked 13 goals to three for the remainder of the match to outscore the Sharks by 65 points from half time.
Smith, had a day out in the second half kicking five goals to take his career goal tally to 504 goals. Subiaco are now sitting in 2nd place on the ladder by percentage.
