Subiaco enjoyed their return to their original home with a comprehensive 72-point victory over East Perth at Subiaco Oval yesterday.
The Lions were never seriously challenged by the Royals and won, 20.17 (137) to 10.5 (65).
David Mapleston, who found himself in the reserves last month, returned to top form with four goals and received great support from youngster, Trent Dennis-Lane and spearhead, Brad Smith who both also finished with four majors.
Once again Subiaco will have to defend their players at the tribunal during the week after Luke Newick and Darren Rumble had their numbers taken.
East Perth’s Craig Glancy, returning to the team after a lengthy absence, was one of the best for the Royals, but was also reported.
The Lions are now three games clear at the top of the table after playing each of the other teams once and can now enjoy the bye next week.
