In a major recruiting coup for the club, Subiaco has secured the services former St. Kilda player Michael Rix.
The 200cm ruckman was originally rookie-listed by Hawthorn in 2004, but was subsequently taken by St Kilda in 2005.
Rix started the 2007 season as a back-up ruckman to Matthew Clarke and Michael Gardiner.
Despite managing just one AFL game in 2008, Rix was one of the better performing players with St Kilda’s affiliate team Casey Scorpions, passing 100 games at VFL level.
Lions coach Scott Watters said Rix already had a good rapport with several of his players and was keen to start working and playing football in WA.
