Lions Boast Best Player of 2008

Subiaco Lion’s player Brad Smith was named WAFL Footballer of Year for 2008. Smith tied for the award with along with Peel Thunder player Hayden Ballantyne, each on 30 votes. Subiaco can now boast that they finished the season on top of the ladder and that they had the (equal) best player in the league. Will they also be able to boast that they finished out the finals by taking the trophy home on Sunday 21st September?
