Subiaco lead the WAFL with 16 Reserves Premierships, followed by East Fremantle with 13. Subiaco have won eight Reserves flags since 1995 but have yet to announce their coach for the upcoming season. Brett Mayo who coached the Reserves in 2007 and 2008- which included a flag in 2007 has moved on and his replacement has yet to be named.…

Subiaco have announced that 2008 Simpson medallist Chris Hall has reversed his decision to retire and will play on in season 2009 as Subiaco chase a fourth straight flag. The lions have also announced that Bernie Naylor medallist Brad Smith and former Sandover medallist Allistair Pickett will return for 2009.

With the last 3 WAFL premiership flags adorning the walls at their Leederville club house and recognised as one of the financial powers of the WAFL has Subiaco got too big for the WAFL? With a few other clubs struggling and even other financial heavy weights, South Fremantle & Swan Districts unable to unseat the Lions should Subi look East?…

Subiaco WAFL player Jarrad Schofield has been appointed as the 2009 Subiaco Colts coach. Schofield started his league progression in the WAFL with Subiaco and was quickly drafted into the AFL. He has played for West Coast, Port Adelaide, and Fremantle. After injuries in the 2005 season, he retired from AFL and returned to WA to play for the Lions.…

Subiaco Lion's player Brad Smith was named WAFL Footballer of Year for 2008. Smith tied for the award with along with Peel Thunder player Hayden Ballantyne, each on 30 votes. Subiaco can now boast that they finished the season on top of the ladder and that they had the (equal) best player in the league. Will they also be able…

With only 3 games to go for the Subiaco Lions in this 2008 season, and still being on top, the Lions cannot be knocked out of top spot. They have confirmed their position in the 2nd semi final to be played at the Medibank Stadium on the 6th September.
