Saints on-baller Leigh Montagna will challenge his striking charge the tribunal on Tuesday night.

Montagna will be joined by Brisbane Lion Simon Black and Port Adelaide’s Matt Thomas, both who were charged with making contact with an umpire.

Docker Byron Schammer, Bulldog Jason Akermanis and Eagle Will Schofield have decided to accept their penalties imposed on them by the match review panel.

Montagna has decided to try his luck out how-ever, after he was charged with a level two striking offence against Docker Paul Haselby, resulting in a penalty of only 93.75 points towards his future record, due to his relatively clean past so far. By challenging the seemingly harmless penalty, it appears Montagna likes to remain one-hundred percent clean.
