St Kilda is holding a meeting with players today about allegations a teenage girl became pregnant after allegedly having sex with St Kilda AFL players she first met at a high school football clinic.

FootyGoss understands two St Kilda stars have been implicated in the scandal, and that the girl has held crisis talks with club officials after her school principal was told of the pregnancy.

The Victorian Department of Education has confirmed that a teenage girl reported a pregnancy after allegedly having sex with St Kilda players, while the Education Department says the Melbourne student is being provided with appropriate support.

The AFL has launched an investigation and will meet the two unnamed players at AFL House today.

It is understood that Saints officials, including coach Ross Lyon, chief executive Michael Nettlefold, football manager Greg Hutchison and two AFL player managers, were speaking to the players last night about what they say happened.

The student is reported to attend an outer Melbourne high school and has claimed she first met the players at the coaching clinic and then reintroduced herself to the two players in Sydney, after St Kilda’s Round 1 match against the Swans.

It was this week reported that phone numbers were exchanged and the girl later met the Saints players in Melbourne.

Eastern states media reports that the players claim they do not recall meeting the girl at the centre of the allegations at the school football clinic, although in Sydney she allegedly told the players that she was 18 and worked at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

Her Facebook page allegedly purports the girl is 19.

An AFL spokesman told the Herald Sun newspaper that the AFL was made aware of a matter and are currently seeking more information.

“We are not in a position to make any further comment until we are able to gather more information,” they said.

An Education Department spokesperson said the student was being provided with appropriate support.

Victoria Police are aware of the report but are not investigating any criminal allegations.
