The Saints are marching to the semi-finals in the NAB pre-season cup after Stephen Milne scored three majors in the final quarter.
St Kilda were lucky in their one-point win 2.9.7 (79) to 0.12.6 (78) after a blunder by Sydney ruckman Mark Seaby proved to cost the Swans the game at Docklands last Saturday night.
Seaby had the chance to bomb a nine-point super goal in the third quarter but was only given 6 points when he played on before kicking, which proved decisive.
The Saints were strong and looked to have the game all but wrapped up a number of times in the final quarter, but a resilient Swans squad came back and levelled the scores with 5 minutes remaining when youngster Gary Rohan kicked a goal.
St Kilda plays the winner of this weekend’s clash between North Melbourne and Fremantle, while Sydney will have a practise game this weekend.
