Star St-Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt has said he’ll play against the Demons at the MCG on sunday despite having scans on his injured knee on Monday morning.

Riewoldt believes he has just jarred his knee this time, which occurred after he tackled Liam Anthony at three-minute mark of the final quarter of Sunday’s upset loss to North Melbourne at Docklands.

He went on to play out the remainder of the game and had the final scoring shot in the match for the second week in a row, after missing the chance to secure a win after the siren against the Bombers the week before.

Riewoldt has had a history of knee troubles in the past but isn’t too concerned about the Sunday injury. He said that he’d be extremely surprised if it was anything at all and that he wanted to end rumors of a serious knee injury.
