St Kilda has received some good news after Lenny Hayes was cleared of a striking charge on Monday afternoon.
Hayes was reported for striking Geelong’s Joel Selwood in the game between the Saints and Cats on Sunday afternoon.
The panel judged that the Saints’ vice captain had grabbed at Selwood in an instinctive act as he was falling to the ground.
Hayes will now be free to play in Saturday night’s semi-final against the Pies at the MCG.
