Former Melbourne hard-man Nathan Carroll could be playing for St Kilda next year.
The Saints opted against drafting ex-West Coast Eagles bad boy Ben Cousins on Tuesday, which means Carroll has a greater chance of extending his career with the Saints in the ‘09 season, as the Saints would have no trouble with their salary cap, after rejecting Cousins.
Carroll’s last chance to further his career will be in Saturday’s NAB AFL Draft.
The hard-man could fill a missing link in the St Kilda defense with his valuable height. The Saints will need some-one to cover for injury prone Defenders Max Hudghton and Matt McGuire.
