St. Kilda will be defending their NAB Cup without captain Nick Riewoldt after the club announced that he will undergo knee surgery. The saints have elected to take the option of allowing the surgery in order to prevent further damage. The club is hoping to have Riewoldt back up and running for round 1 of the premiership season.
