South Fremantle has received a massive boost ahead of their crucial clash with Swan Districts at Fremantle Oval on Saturday, recalling six key players to their line-up.
Fremantle’s Ryan Murphy and Daniel Gilmore are back while Toby McGrath, Tim Malseed and Rob Haddrill have overcome injuries and Lukas Teague returns from suspension.
In contrast, Swans have lost AFL-listed players Ryan Davis and Chris Smith, while former Geelong player, Matthew Spencer has been left out of the line-up.
West Perth will have a big hole to fill when they visit Eftel Oval to play Perth, after Fremantle trio Rob Warnock, Adam Campbell and Kepler Bradley were all named to play AFL.
Dan Hunt and Dockers rookie Brent Connelly were among six inclusions for the Falcons.
The Demons have lost AFL players Mark Johnson (suspension) and Steven Armstrong, although the latter has only been named as an emergency and may yet play for Perth.
Another team to have been hit hard by AFL unavailabilities is East Fremantle who will have to replace Andrew Foster, Brett Peake and Brent Staker when they travel to Geraldton to take on Claremont.
Utility big man, Rob Young will also miss after being suspended for making contact with an umpire during last week’s win over Swan Districts.
The Tigers may be without defender, Beau Wilkes, who has been named as an emergency for West Coast.
Peel welcome back former Royal, Zac Beeck from suspension as they host his old team on Saturday.
The Thunder will miss former skipper Grant Welsh who retired after their loss to West Perth last week.
Meanwhile, East Perth will have the services of experienced duo Dean Brennan and Andrew Mills after both have been out of the League side for an extended period.
