WAFL Awards: South's McLaren clear leader

South Fremantle's Joe McLaren is the outright leader in Blokpave Player of the Year Award after seven rounds of the WAFL season.
McLaren polled two voted in the Bulldogs thrilling win over the Sharks in yesterday's Derby.
After a disappointing season in 2003, McLaren is showing the form the club was looking for when he was signed.
McLaren leads with seven votes, one ahead of Chris Bossong (Perth), Shane Beros (Swans), Brad Murray (WP), Ben Cunningham (Cl) and Mark Seaby (WP).
Bossong, Beros and Murray were all among the votes on the weekend, with Beros gaining maximum votes for the second week in a row.
In the BIC Rising Star Award Subiaco's Matt Priddis continues to lead the way with 13 votes.
Five votes adrift of Priddis is a group of players including Theo Adams (SF), Justin Perkins (Per), Paul Duffield (SF)and Cameron Gauci (Peel).
