After a slow start to the season, South Fremantle are now proving to be the form team of the competition.
The Bulldogs dropped their opening two games to West Perth and Swans before having a week off because of the bye.

South Fremantle's Joe McLaren is the outright leader in Blokpave Player of the Year Award after seven rounds of the WAFL season.
McLaren polled two voted in the Bulldogs thrilling win over the Sharks in yesterday's Derby.
After a disappointing season in 2003, McLaren is showing the form the club was looking for when he was signed.

South Fremantle claimed the first bragging rights for the 2004 season when they were victorious over East Fremantle by 7 points in the first Fremantle Derby for the year at East Fremantle Oval this afternoon.
The final score saw South Fremantle 14.10.94 defeat East Fremantle 13.9.87.
