The Tigers have decided to unofficially sack coach Terry Wallace and will pay out his contract if he chooses to stop coaching before the end of the year.

Development coach Craig McCrae will most likely take over the side as a caretaker, he’ll be vying with assistant coaches David King and Wayne Campbell for the short-term replacement coach.

It is still a sure thing that Wallace will coach the Tigers into round eight, but the loss against the Lions on Saturday effectively put an end to his career with the Tigers.

Richmond will begin searching for a new coach next month, with the Tigers’ board set to meet about the future of it’s football department restructure, realizing that there needs to be some big changes made to the current Tigers’ squad.

Wallace has accepted that his coaching career is seeing its last days and could be all over by the end of the month but refused to comment when asked if he would fullfill his contract.

Wallace told the Age that he had no ill-feelings towards the club and that they had been very supportive of him.
