Richmond weathered a last quarter come-back by the Brisbane Lions to win 13.12 (85) to 11.4 (70), at Gold Coast Stadium on Friday night.

Nathan Brown (three goals), Matthew Richardson (20 possessions) and Ben Cousins (25 touches) all stood up for their team and showed Tigers’ fans they may form a formidable trio in the months to come.

Lions Forward Daniel Bradshaw almost provided his side with an amazing come-back booting five goals, as the Lions kicked the first four goals of the last term to draw withing six points.

The Tigers managed to hold them off for their first win of the pre-season, giving them confidence heading into their blockbuster round one clash against the Blues.
