Richmond home in a thriller

Richmond have ended a horror week with a thrilling one-point win over Hawthorn tonight.
The Tigers won 12.12.84 to 13.5.83.
Richmond set up their win with a withering opening burst in the first term, piling on seven goals to one.
From that point on, the Hawks slowly worked their way back into the match, until finally drawing level late in the final quarter.
The Tigers scrambled a late point to grab the lead.
Ritchie Vandenburg had a chance to to score in the dying second for Hawthorn, but was unable to trouble the scorers.
Greg Tivendale was outstanding for the Tigers, finishing with 30 possessions and 2 goals.
Tivendale was well supported in the midfield by Kane Johnson, Wayne Campbell and Tim Fleming.
Nathan Brown was lively up forward, kicking two goals from his 19 touches.
Hawks ruckman Peter Everitt was dominant all night. He had an interesting duel with Brad Ottens, who was also a good player for Richmond.
Everitt took 13 marks, had 23 possessions, 25 hit outs and kicked two goals.
Shane Crawford was inspirational after a quiet start.
Other good players for the Hwaks were Brown, Lekkas, Mitchell and Williams (5 goals)
