Richmond’s new star midfielder, Ben Cousins has recovered well from a mild concussion received in his first AFL game in 18 months.

The Browlow medallist was taken to hopsital for precautionary measures after the game against the Magpies on Thursday night and has pulled up fit and ready for more action.

Richmond intially said they would rest him but after his quick recovery from the heavy knock he received in the last quarter against Collingwood, the club is considering whether they should give him more game time next week.

It is still likely that Cousins together with fellow stars Matthew Richardson and Nathan Brown will watch the game from the sidelines next week and play the following week.
