Ben Cousins is recovering well from the hamstring injury he sustained in his come-back game against Carlton last Thursday.
Cousins had a light jogging session with medical staff nearby at Richmond’s training session on Tuesday morning.
The Brownlow medallist is expected to be back playing with the Tigers within the next month.
Richmond would love to have him back for their round two clash with the hungry Cats side, fresh from a satisfying win over the Hawks over the weekend. The Tigers were hammered by 83 points in the much anticipated clash with the Blues, that saw Cousins line up against his ex-Eagle team-mate Chris Judd.
Richmond face an almost impossible task to go to Skilled Stadium this Saturday and beat Geelong...football has seen stranger things however.
