RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick says Brownlow medallist Ben Cousins will decide his own future at the end of the season and will not be pushed into a decision.
Cousins started slowly this season, mainly due to injury, which placed doubt on the 31-year-old’s future.
But he has shown strong form recently and may be capable of continuing on for another season.
“That ball’s entirely in Ben’s court. His last three to four weeks have been very, very good,†Hardwick told the AFL website today.
“He was probably pretty slow at the start. I reckon his first five or six rounds weren’t great but he did have an interrupted pre-season, so we’ll make a decision towards the end of the year.â€
