For Port Adelaide, the importance of a win against Melbourne on Sunday cannot be overstated. Although a win would not give a true indication of where the club is at on-field, considering the Demon’s lack of competitiveness in recent times, a loss will just add pressure to a club feeling the tough times at present.
Although gaining victory in round one against Essendon, financial strains off the field and a poor showing last weekend has caused concern around the club. A loss could impose problems deep enough that could see the club’s season finished as early as this weekend.
