Port Adelaide defender Alipate Carlile has won the final AFL rising star nomination for the 2008 season.
The 21-year-old Fijian born Carlile, has proved to be a great replacement for retired premiership star Darrly Wakelin, playing in all 22 games this year.
Carlile is the second cousin of teammate David Rogan.
Coach Mark Williams said the Fijian talent had been a shining light for the Power this season, adding that the coaching staff have complete trust in him to deal with all the best forwards in the league.
