On what was a terrible weekend of football for Port Adelaide, experienced player Chad Cornes is set to miss up to a month of football after injuring his calf and knee in the Power’s 38 point loss to Collingwood.
Just weeks after signing a new two year deal with the power, Chad Cornes will have surgery on his right knee this Tuesday, to discover what damage has been done to the joint that has suffered ongoing injuries.
Cornes missed the second half of Sunday’s match after injuring himself, and was sitting on the bench with ice packs on both a strained calf and injured knee. With another blow for the Power, youngster Matt Thomas will also miss a month with a strain of his posterior cruciate ligament.
