Veteran midfielder Josh Carr has already been ruled out of Sunday’s clash with Richmond at AAMI Stadium.

Carr was dropped from the Power line-up two weeks ago and failed to front for SANFL club Glenelg on the weekend because of a problem hip.

The 2004 premiership player didn’t join his team-mates for training on Wednesday and will spend at least another week on the sidelines.

Meanwhile Port Adelaide midfielder Kane Cornes has til Friday to prove his fitness after spraining an AC joint against North Melbourne on Saturday night.

Scans have cleared Cornes of any structural damage, but ruckman Dean Brogan said the dual All-Australian was keen to keep his streak of 134 consecutive games intact.
